Amy Lorber

Entrepreneur, Bathtub Gin and Gardenaire

I have always loved cooking, baking and creating in the kitchen. My love for food is spurred by memories of childhood summers in Minnesota spent helping pick apples, tomatoes, and strawberries and countless hours at the elbow of my mom learning the art of making delicious sauces and jams. In 2011, my sister and I started Bathtub Gin (bathtubginonline.com), a jam company in Nashville, Tennessee using local, organic fruits and top shelf liquors in cocktail-themed preserves. We were thrilled when our efforts garnered awards for our preserves in 2013, 2014 and 2015 from the Good Food Awards which grants awards for tasty, authentic and responsibly produced products and a Silver Medal at the World Marmalade Awards. After 14 years in Nashville, I moved back to Rochester to be close to my parents and to become a part of the growing movement toward local, organic, traceable and sustainable food in my beloved hometown. In September 2016, my mom and I launched Gardenaire (gardenaire.co) in Rochester, MN where we handcraft organic products in small batches showcasing the unique flavors of exceptional fruits and herbs in every bottle, tin and jar. Our current product collection includes shrubs (drinking vinegars), infused syrups, spice blends and teas.

Denise Stegall

Owner, Denise, Your Health Coach

I’m Denise Stegall, Denise, Your Health Coach. My goal is to enable people to achieve a sustainable, healthy lifestyle based on real food. I have wide experience in cooking and nutrition which has provided me with a unique perspective on what works (and doesn’t work) for most people. With just a little planning and a little discipline, anyone can have a truly healthy life. Starting out with a Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management from Penn State University, I worked in all types of restaurants. I have seen first-hand how food has changed dramatically in the past 20 years. The renaissance in healthy food has led me to take classes at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris and New Orleans Cooking Experience. This past year I completed an extensive course in professional plant-based cooking through Rouxbe.com. Sometimes, people need a kick-start for weight loss. Through my relationships with nationally- recognized nutrition and weight loss groups I can provide this help if we decide it is the best first step. Exercise is an important part of good health. Personally, I have tried (and continue to try) all sorts of athletics including running, cycling and “cross-fit”. Like most people, I love good food. Enjoying a meal with family and friends is an important part of my life. I truly believe that with a little planning you can enjoy normal food and still live a healthy life. “It’s not about being perfect, it’s about being better”. Let Denise, Your Health Coach help you to be a better you!
