Quick & Easy Flatbread Recipes

Sunday September 10, 1-3pm $45 (Hands-On)

Flatbreads are quick, healthy and extremely versatile. These soft breads can be used for stuffing, dipping, topping and even make a great addition to salad. In this class led by Amy Lorber, you will learn to make Fattoush salad with toasted pita and fresh vegetables along with a Catalan Flatbread that can be served as a main course or paired with wine for the perfect solution to happy hour.

Handmade Tamales

Thursday, September 14, 5:30-7:30pm $45 (Hands-On)

Traditional Mexican tamales made with masa and steamed in corn husks may intimidate many home cooks but in this class led by Amy Lorber you will learn an easy step-by-step process that will ensure that you can make wonderful tamales at home. You will also learn to make a perfect, fresh guacamole and Mexican Atole, a warm almost porridge-like drink made thick with masa and flavored with vanilla, piloncillo and cinnamon.


Taco Night

Saturday, September 16, 6-8pm $45 (Hands-On)

It’s taco time! This fun filled class is all about tacos.  Instructor, Katie Kerr, will demonstrate two tasty variations:  shredded beef tacos in a pressure cooker and shrimp tacos.  You will learn how to make delicious toppings such as fresh guacamole, avocado crema, and lime-cilantro slaw.  This is a “can’t miss” class packed with flavor.    

Ladies Night

Thursday, September 28, 6-8pm $45 (Hands-On)

Ladies, come join Cook’s Pantry for a fun night of cooking.  You will be joined by instructor, Katie Kerr, as she shows you three delicious, crowd-pleasing appetizers: spinach and artichoke dip, chicken lettuce wraps, and stuffed mushrooms.  These appetizers are great bites for any get together, but you can’t forget the dessert.  The night will finish off with chocolate truffles made from scratch.


 Game Day Pizza Recipes

Thursday, October 5, 5:30-7:30pm $45 (Hands-on)

Join Amy Lorber to learn easy pizza recipes that are perfect for tailgating or hosting a party at home. You will learn to make pizza puffs that are bite-sized treats topped any way you like and perfect for appetizers or nibbling during the game. We will also give tailgate food a classy touch with sweet onion-tomato tartlets with a perfectly flaky crust and caramelized onions. In addition, we will make cheesy, oven-roasted pizza fries with the perfect marinara dipping sauce.

Soup’s On!

Sunday, October 15, 1-3pm  $45 (Hands-on)

Join Cooks Pantry and instructor, Katie Kerr, for a fun, Fall soup class.  Nothing pairs better with crisp, cool weather than a warm bowl of soup.  During this class, you will make an Italian Vegetable Soup, Chicken Gnocchi Soup, and Stuffed Pepper Soup.  To finish the class, you will learn an easy, rustic bread recipe that you bake right in your French oven.  

Kids in the Kitchen – Pasta

Sunday, October 22, 12-2pm  $45 (Hands-on)

Attention all kids! It’s pasta time. Bring out your inner chef and come learn how to make homemade pasta by hand.  Katie Kerr will teach everyone how to make homemade fettucine noodles, a creamy and cheesy alfredo sauce, crispy chicken and roasted broccoli.  Add them all together, and you get a yummy plate of chicken and broccoli fettucine alfredo! Let’s dig in!

For the Love of Pumpkin

Thursday, October 26, 5:30-7:30pm  $45 (Hands-on)

This class celebrates pumpkin, the quintessential flavor of Fall! Join Amy Lorber to learn some delicious ways to incorporate this Fall favorite including a velvety, sweet and savory pumpkin soup that is perfectly spiced and topped with pumpkin seeds. You will also learn to make soft and sweet pumpkin bread rolls and a roasted pumpkin salad – the perfect Autumn meal to share with family and friends for the holidays.

Kids in the Kitchen – Halloween Cupcakes

Saturday, October 28, 1-3pm  $45 (Hands-on)

“Moms and Dads, this class is just for the kiddos so drop them off and enjoy some time to yourself. Don’t forget to pick them up =) “
Julie Herrera-Lemler, owner and creator of You Betcha Cupcake! LLC, will share her experience and passion for baking as she leads this fun kids class on cupcakes. Students will learn the art of making, baking and decorating themed cupcakes just in time for Halloween. This class will take kids (8 and up) step by step through several recipes and techniques. Also learn great tips that will help to build confidence in making simple, delicious cupcakes at home.

You will be eating everything made in each class. Please come hungry! Please register with payment no later than three days before each class. Stop in or call to register 507-258-4210.  

 If Cook’s Pantry cancels a class due to weather or any other reason, a full refund may be issued. If you cannot make a class that you were signed up for, you can receive class credit for another class or store credit to use on products.
