We are thrilled to bring in a new and local line of handcrafted, gourmet goods from our very own Amy Lorber!
In September 2016, Amy and Linda Lorber launched Gardenaire (gardenaire.co) in Rochester, MN where they handcraft organic products in small batches showcasing the unique flavors of exceptional fruits and herbs in every bottle, tin and jar. Their current product collection includes shrubs (drinking vinegars), infused syrups, spice blends and teas. Gardenaire is deeply devoted to its Minnesota roots and uses local herbs and produce to create bold flavors that welcome a new generation of home cooks to bring creativity to the kitchen. Whether you are looking for the perfect hostess gift, a new cocktail or an easy way to bring exciting flavors to your table, Gardenaire has got you covered.
Amy and Linda have always loved cooking, baking and creating in the kitchen. Linda’s passion for cooking began early as she grew up working in her mother’s restaurant in Kansas City, Missouri. Amy’s love for food is spurred by memories of childhood summers in Minnesota spent helping pick apples, tomatoes, and strawberries and countless hours at the elbow of her mom learning the art of making delicious sauces and jams. In 2011, Amy co-founded a jam company in Nashville, Tennessee and earned awards for preserves in 2013, 2014 and 2015 from the Good Food Awards which grants awards for tasty, authentic and responsibly produced products and a Silver Medal at the World Marmalade Awards. After 14 years in Nashville, Amy moved back to Rochester to be close to her mom, Linda, and together they have worked to become a part of the growing movement toward local, organic, traceable and sustainable food in their beloved hometown.
